During all his life, Korean artist Kim Tschang-Yeul painted variations on a single motif: the drop of water. Sometime before his death, his son Oan decided to make a film in order to get closer to his father and shed light on this man who had always been silent and mysterious. With the help of his partner Brigitte Bouillot, he discovers the dark hours of the life of his father and finally understands his work, which may have acted as a consolation for him.
