Gita Aslani Shahrestani, the director’s daughter, earned her doctorate with a dissertation on the forgotten part of Iranian auteur cinema. In this documentary she portrays the rediscovery of the negatives of Chess of the Wind almost 40 years after its release.
This screening is organised in participation with Cinemaximiliaan and organiser and translater Rola Zamzameh.
