2 collectives, SPAM (Shibari, Puissance, Abandonment, Masochism) and Puissance, join forces to offer several performances around the issues of brother/sisterhood, solidarity and connection - which will also be illustrated with short films. Plunge into a universe where practices are sometimes considered extreme, turn out to be vectors of gentleness and mutual care, through various activities such as a “bal des folles” and an intense dialogue between bodies, ropes and pole dance bars.
Sorority, imagination, sensuality. Fights, mutual aid, outbursts. It’s a pack of women crossing their souls and emotions together. Powerful.
The amateur collective reappropriates the “bal des folles” to give you a glimpse of their interpretation of female hysteria through text readings and contact dance.
In the program:
- Web: Web is an immersive, interactive performance that invites the audience to take part in the creation of a cellophane web, by becoming the pillars on which the artists will stand.
- Body and Rope: In a continuous dance between body and rope, the artists tell of the ties that bind them, and share their vulnerability with the audience.
- Short films: Four short films are shown in a loop. The films explore intense practices such as wax play, shibari and cellophane manipulation, some of which will be staged during the performances.
The different performances intertwine/alternate, with each activity lasting between 15 and 40 minutes.
